The Never Ending Sorrow
Fire ablaze , the trees at Raze
Lifelessness everywhere
Dead Corpses
Row after row they lay
Feelings of Sorrow
Regret, Pain, and Death
These are the things that are left
The stench of death so near
I can but wonder
What it would be like to be there
Shoots fired
The echoing boom
Time seems only to cease
darkness and thick fog
the faint sight of a man
in no mans land
With eyes everywhere
There's only a matter of time
Thrown out of his hands
A grenade sails
Men flee
Out of the trench one by one
Only to a gruesome death
Waiting to be overrun
I open my journal
And with my final thoughts
I begin to write
I can but wonder..
Lifelessness everywhere
Dead Corpses
Row after row they lay
Feelings of Sorrow
Regret, Pain, and Death
These are the things that are left
The stench of death so near
I can but wonder
What it would be like to be there
Shoots fired
The echoing boom
Time seems only to cease
darkness and thick fog
the faint sight of a man
in no mans land
With eyes everywhere
There's only a matter of time
Thrown out of his hands
A grenade sails
Men flee
Out of the trench one by one
Only to a gruesome death
Waiting to be overrun
I open my journal
And with my final thoughts
I begin to write
I can but wonder..
